Sarisbury Athletic Cricket Club (SACC) based along the A27, playing at 'The Hollow' is definitely a club on the up! 2009 was another hugely successful season for the club, with the first team not only surviving its first season in the Southern League but finishing in the top half of the table. The 2nd team took the spoils this season, a runner-up spot in County 3 ensuring promotion to County 2 for the first time. The 3rds were just a solitary win away from being promoted from Regional 1 South and the 4ths finished another good season only a couple of wins away from a promotion spot. With 5 Adult league teams we welcome players of any standard to our home grounds at Allotment Road (map) (also known as The Hollow); Sarisbury Green (map); and Turnpike Way (map). in 2010 our first team will again play in SEPCL Division 3 ("bronze"). Our other teams play in the Hampshire Cricket League, in County Division 2 (2nds); Regional Division 1 South (3rds); and Regional Division 4 South East (4ths). Our Academy ("5th") team plays in Regional Division 4 Central. If league cricket isn't your thing then we play Friendly matches every Sunday and have an over 40's team that plays occasionally during the summer evenings. We have a massive colts section with teams playing at U11, U13 and U15 levels. The colts teams are run by our own ECB qualified coaches and of course a number of willing volunteers. During the winter Net sessions are run every week at The Rose Bowl, the home of Hampshire Cricket and is a great opportunity for new members to come along and try out.
